Global Grant #1524985-Philippines - Read Aloud Teacher Literacy Enhancement Project (Pasay City, Manila)

The Philippines Teacher Literacy Enhancement Project (aka. Read Aloud Project) is a AU$65,000 Global Grant project funded by 5 Rotary Clubs (Rotary Clubs of Manningham, Calcutta Metropolitan (India), Culver City (USA), Croydon, Clayton, Mont Albert & Surrey Hills and Bentleigh-Moorabbin; supported by our international Host Club, RC MakatiRockwell D3830.


The project involves training 141 Grade 2 Teachers from 19 schools in the Pasay City Schools District how to more effectively teach English reading and writing skills, reaching 5,500 students across the 19 schools. The first project workshop was held in November 2014 and the fourth Workshop was conducted in July 2016.
