The EarlyAct Club at Donburn Primary school is very enthusiastic to run programmes that benefit the Community. Each year they endeavour to do something in the areas of International, Community and School.
However, COVID and the continual suspending of classes has made it very difficult to maintain any momentum over the 2020-21 year. The 2020 cohort of EarlyActors were “busting” to do something even though they were in lockdown and via Zoom, organised to do a E-Cookbook, which was very professionally put together. They sold it online for $5 and the proceeds went to supporting those affected by bushfires.
When the students finally got to attend school in person, they finished off the year with a collection of food and toys for the Doncare Christmas appeal. This is the third year that Donburn EarlyAct has organised a Christmas appeal for Doncare and it gets bigger every year!
Early in the 2021 school year. In conjunction with Bike Victoria a ride to school and road safety event was organised. This was very successful but due to persistent lockdowns, this was the only event that was organised in 2021.
